Local Arrangements



Accommodations
Conference participants will stay at the Eaglecrest Marriott Hotel, located at 1275 Huron Street, Ypsilanti MI 48197. The Eaglecrest is less than 2 miles from EMU's campus and Ypsilanti's center.



Travel Arrangements
Participants will arrive at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. They will be met at the airport and driven to the hotel according to the Linguist Shuttle Schedule.


Meals

Coffee, tea, and donuts will be provided before the first session each morning; and lunch will be provided every day except the last. On Monday, only the pre-session coffee and donuts will be provided, as the conference ends at noon..

In addition, the following meals will be arranged and/or provided by the conference.

    Thursday Evening:  Dinner at Aristars' house for those attending the pre-planning session.

    Friday:  Welcome cookout for all participants at Ann Arbor's Gallup Park 6:30-9:00 p.m

    Saturday Dinner:  "Pick Your Restaurant and Mingle with other Linguists". Reservations will be made at a number of "Linguist List's Favorite Restaurants". You will be invited to sign up for the restaurant of your choice; transportation will be provided. (Please note that this meal is not provided by the conference, and participants are free to make other arrangements should they choose to do so).
    Sunday Dinner:  Group dinner at The Bistro, in downtown Ann Arbor.

At other times the workshop participants are responsible for their own meals. They are invited to visit Bentley's American Grille in the hotel, or to explore what the area has to offer.
